This is an up-to-date, comprehensive, well-written and engaging volume. It integrates relevant old and new knowledge in psychology and offers an excellent preparation for the psychology IB exam. Those studying for other exams in psychology will also find this textbook very useful as will the general reader with a serious interest in modern psychology.
Generally speaking, this textbook is substantially better than the Oxford IB Psychology textbook which we use at school. Bought this version to share with a friend after finding the Oxford edition to be wordy and insufficient. The Pearson version is formatted nicely, the accompanying e-text is helpful, has more up-to-date research (and more research in general, again in comparison to the Oxford textbook). Received this textbook in the second year of my IB program, and I certainly wish I had known it sooner. This textbook alone is not enough to guarantee learning the syllabus, supplementary materials are still needed, but if you could only have one resource for the course, I would recommend Pearson's Psychology guide.
Great book quality, bad content. IB really needs to improve their psychology curriculum. This is BORING and it only covers a very limited range of psychological information.
